Seabluff Cottage~A Little House For Two

Halfway between Greenbank and historic Coupeville on Whidbey island, you will find Seabluff Cottage at the end of a road, on a bluff. With 180 degree views of Saratoga passage and the Cascade Mountains.

The cottage is cedar shingled, with wrap around casement windows. French doors open to let the sea breezes in. Furnished in white slipcovers, and antiques centered on a wood-burning fireplace. Fresh flowers, music and a selection of books are yours to share with someone special.

Upstairs, is a loft bedroom with a queen bed dressed in down. The room opens onto a small deck through French doors facing East, towards the moon and stars. A soaking tub and white cotton robes offer a prelude to a restful slumber.

Trails lead through a woodland garden to a whimsical seaside gazebo. Whales are sighted from the bluff, as well as sea lions, eagles, and endless shorebirds. Seabluff Cottage is private, quiet, peaceful.

Our waterfront cottage offers extraordinary views. It is perched high on a bluff. Public beach access is within walking distance. When the tide is out, broad white sandy beaches are yours to explore. Hidden Beach is just that. It is seldom used. You can enjoy miles of beach walking, often without seeing another soul. This is an excellent spot to put in your kayak or canoe.

Seabluff Cottage is located in central Whidbey, the most scenic part of the island. A short drive to the north will bring you to Coupeville, Ebey's National Historic Reserve, Fort Casey and the Keystone Ferry to the Victorian town of Pt. Townsend.

Greenbank offers visitors many fine ways to spend a day. The Greenbank Farm espresso cafe and winery, a Farmers market on Sundays, art shows and festivals. Close by are Meerkerk Rhododendron Gardens, Holmes Harbor Golf Course and South Whidbey State Park.

After a day of exploring, there is no place more inviting than your deck chairs. Many evenings are idled away waiting for the moon to rise over the Cascade Mountains.

When the chill of winter moves in, warm yourself by the wood burning fireplace. Barefoot and relaxed in complete seclusion, the night is open to endless possibilities.
