Spain - La Cala, Costa de Sol
Description:
Here are some details of our
studio in La Cala, Costa del Sol
The Studio is located between Malaga & Marbella on the coast. The Studio is
recently built and is self contained to a high standard.
The bathroom is a good size. Beautifully fitted in dark wood, it includes a
bath with shower, sink, toilet and bidet.
The living area is light and spacious and can sleep 2 adults or a small
family in comfort. There is a full size Double Divan Bed, plus a Double Sofa
bed (with the option of a single bed pull out from underneath), quickly and
easily converted. There are two built in wardrobes; the matching furniture
includes three good-sized cupboard units and a large open shelves unit, plus
a base unit of three good sized drawers.
There are patio doors to a small south-facing balcony. The studio has a
satellite TV receiving English channels.
The studio is 2/3 minutes walk from the beach. La Cala was originally a
small fishing village. Its houses are in the main white with the streets
lined with palm trees. It has a long clean beach which as been awarded the
Blue Flag for environmental, sanitary and safety standards. It is among the
best in the province and is used for water skiing and para-sailing.
The studio is 2/3 minutes walk from the beach, bars and restaurants, shops
and supermarkets and town centre. The supermarkets sells quality products
for self-catering. La Cala has a good quantity and selection of restaurants
and bars. Beach bars and children's play areas are on the promenade. A local
bus service runs from behind the studio to both Fuengirola and Marbella on a
regular basis.
La Cala is a town situated approximately 6kms from Fuengirola, 12kms from
Benalmedina, 28kms from Marbella and 30kms from Malaga.
Approximately 30 minutes away is Puerto Banus with its impressive harbor.
The beautiful village of Mijas is also about the same traveling time. A few
kilometres inland from Puerto Banus is the white walled village of Istan
with its narrow streets prohibited to cars.
Approximately 60 minutes away is Gibraltar with the cable cars, Barbary
monkeys, dolphin trips (and cheap duty-free).
Approximately 90 minutes away is the magnificent mountain town of Ronda with
it's spectacular views.
Approximately 2 hours away is Granada sitting in the foothills of the Sierra
Nevada Mountains. Granada is famous for the fortress palace of Alhambra, one
of Spain's greatest splendors.
La Cala has a Hippodromo (Horse Racing) and La Cala Golf Club. There are
over 30 golf courses
on the coast. |
